Dr. Aaron Crain

A Pacific Northwest native. Graduated from Auburn High School (1993). Obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Washington (1998). Worked for a decade in high tech.

Obtained Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry (2011). Received Beta-Sigma-Kappa award for exceptional research (2011) for work on digital retinal imaging.

Clinical training includes Portland VA hospital, Hickam Air Force Base, and the Pacific University eye clinics in Portland, Oregon.

Outside the clinic, Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children, working around the house and yard, and playing tennis at nearby courts. He also develops optometric software products, which you can see in use at Crain Eye Clinic and other offices.


Dr. Maylea Li

Dr. Maylea Li attended optometry school at the University of California, Berkeley. During her training, she completed her externships at the Puget Sound VA, UC San Francisco, and Marin Community Clinic.

After graduation, Dr. Li completed her residency training in Ocular Disease and Ocular Surgical co-management in Denver, Colorado.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Li moved back to the Seattle area after completing her optometric training.

Dr. Li has volunteered locally and globally, providing eye examinations at non-profit charities and underserved areas. She has done mission trips to Jamaica and Honduras and plans to do more in the future.

In her spare time, Dr. Li enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and spending time with her family and dog.


Dr. Brian Crain, Founding Doctor Emeritus

Graduated from the University of Washington (BA Journalism), and received his O.D. Degree from Pacific University. He completed an externship at Fitzsimons Hospital, Aurora, Colorado in
1977.

Dr Brian Crain founded the Crain Eye Clinic in 1978, and was joined by his son Dr. Aaron Crain in 2011.

Dr Brian Crain has been active in many professional offices and committees, and received the Doctor of Optometry of the year award in 1997.

He has been involved in church activities and Auburn community organizations over the years.

Hours away from the office are spent gardening, reading, singing, playing the guitar, and enjoying his three beautiful grandchildren.
